A longitudinal archive for studying how administrative identity is produced.
The same person appears as Milivoj Miletić, Milan Vasić and Milan Petrović across birth, divorce, probate, adoption and later court records. Researchers can compare how institutions describe parentage, care and legal status at successive moments, then test those classifications against the actual sources rather than reconstructing the case from a single retrospective narrative.
Evidence to examine first
The original birth extract records Miletić Milivoj; the operative 1979 adoption record assigns Vasić Milan, and the 1984 adoption record assigns Petrović Milan. All three records give 28 June 1974 as the birth date. These are successive records of the same person, with the changes traceable to the acts themselves.
Original birth entry: Miletić Milivoj · 1979: Vasić Milan · 1984: Petrović Milan
The extract issued on 26 September 1984 names the child Petrović Milan while retaining Vasić Milorad and Gospava in the parent fields. Compare this document with the second-adoption record rather than inferring parentage from the child’s surname. The mixed entries are directly visible in the register extract.
1984 extract: child’s name · 1984 extract: parent fields · Second adoption: name-change order
The cited birth extract names a different parental pair
The first-instance judgment says it established the 1984 adoption by Periša and Georgina Petrović from birth-register extract 2463/1979. That extract names the child Petrović Milan but retains Milorad and Gospava Vasić in the parent fields. The Petrović couple is identified in the separate 1984 adoption record. Read the three documents together to check the mismatch between the fact stated and the particular document cited as its proof.

Questions to examine
- How do recorded family relationships become different legal classifications across parallel proceedings?
- Which distinctions between an original document, later transcription and retrospective author commentary change the interpretation?
- How do identity entries and restrictions on kinship affect the subsequent inheritance and documentary trail?
Start with these documents
- Birth register extract - original identity before all adoption layers — The 1974 birth extract anchors the original identity before later substitutions.
- Divorce proceedings P-1642/76 - court-confirmed paternal-line record — The divorce file preserves statements and judicial findings concerning Lakatoš and Cvita.
- Probate O.196/79 - Milivoj inside Pavle / Pal Lakatoš heirship — The probate file supplies the parallel heirship and protective-guardian route.
- Vera Radovanović dossier 3871/79 — father when useful, unknown when identity is at stake — Vera’s dossier enables comparison of institutional descriptions, family traces and changing classifications.
- The plaintiff’s final submission: void adoption, violent assimilation and the continuing breach — 12 January 2026 — The 75-page final submission combines facsimiles and the author’s reconstructions with explicit page boundaries.
- 1979 full adoption record and decision - operative identity overwrite — The operative act creates the Vasić name and directs new parental entries.
- Second adoption record - Vasić Milan transferred into Petrović Milan — The second adoption changes Vasić Milan to Petrović Milan using the existing Vasić record.
- Civil register after second adoption - Petrović Milan as sealed second layer — The 1984 extract combines the Petrović child name with Vasić parental entries.
